"Go" (4 May 2015) is the second single released by The Chemical Brothers from the album Born in the Echoes (17 July 2015).
I couldn't help laughing as I watched the video clip directed by Michel Gondry.
What a hilarious performance. Clothes, makeup, buildings, stick dance (?) and of course music, everything is ridiculously serious.
Even if it reminds us of François Truffaut’s “Fahrenheit 451” or Monty Python’s sketches, this is not a parody and at least, there is no irony. The proof is the eccentric stick dance. I get strange feeling of déjà vu with this dance but I cannot find out the original source (P.E. at school?).
This clip makes me feel like I can survive if only I have dance and laugh. Although they sing, “We're only here to make you go”, this song encourages me to stay here.
By the way, how could those ladies suppress a smile? I was touched by their pride of a professional.
