Streets of London / Sinead O'Connor

"Streets of London" is a song written by British folk musician Ralph McTell in 1969. The song refers the homeless, lonely, elderly and ignored people. I imagine that it is difficult to sing this song properly, because it cannot be denied completely the slight arrogance in the attitude to contrast the socially vulnerable and our everyday problems. But this beautiful version of Sinéad O’Connor in her 1994 EP “Fire on Babylon” is overflowing with sorrow and has nothing to do with such arrogance.
